SoftwareMonkeys - How to Report a Problem
If you have a problem in a project please report the problem using the
procedure below.
Important notes about reporting issues:
Please do report issues regardless of whether or not it is a bug. An
issue does not have to be a bug in order to be reported.
Please do report issues even if someone else has already reported a
similar issue. Multiple issue reports of the same nature will help to
indicate the higher priority of the issues.
Step 1
Open up the issue report form:
http://www.softwaremonkeys.net/hub/Report-Issue.aspx
Step 2
Describe the issue or copy and paste the error.
If possible, include:
-
how to recreate it
-
the version of the project that the issue has been found in, either
from:
-
the release file name (including version and date stamp)
-
lower left corner of most ASP.NET project windows
-
application logs (and/or links to screenshots)
To ensure you get credit and/or a response to your issue report, please
include:
-
your email address (recommended but optional)
-
your name (optional)
Step 3
Select the corresponding project from the list field.
Note: If you clicked "Report issue" from within a SoftwareMonkeys
project then this project field should already be set.
If you're unsure about which project the issue is about (eg. when
multiple projects are involved at the same time) then either:
-
select the one you think it might be
-
leave the project field blank
Step 4
Send the issue report.
Step 5
Give yourself a pat on the back for helping to improve the
SoftwareMonkeys projects.
Feedback and reports of issues are a necessary part of project
evolution. Thank you!
